This image of actress Lucy Hale (I know her from the now-cancelled Privileged, but she’s also apparently on Pretty Little Liars) just popped up in my inbox with a makeup breakdown. I glanced through the products, not really planning on doing a write-up–just procrastinating from doing other work, naturally–and a mention of NARS Eyeshadow in Brumes used by Lucy’s makeup artist Monika Blunder caught my eye.
Since professional makeup artists usually know what’s what, I decided to Google the NARS Brumes shadow to examine it more carefully and discovered that it looks like exactly the type of smokey-eye duo that I’m always on the hunt for. I’m picking it up, stat!
By the way, here’s the breakdown of the rest of Lucy Hale’s fresh-faced look. She’s cute, isn’t she?
Foundation: Suqqu Foundation in Shade 20. (“This is a quite heavy foundation but if you apply it with a foundation brush and blend with a beauty blender sponge, you will see how light the base looks on the skin,” says Monika Blunder.)
Eyeshadow: MAC Eyeshadow in Shroom all over the lid; MAC Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe on the center part of the eye; NARS Eyeshadow in Brumes in the socket line and on the upper and lower lash line.
Eyeliner: MAC Kohl Pencil in Prunella
Mascara: Diorshow Mascara in Black.
Blush/bronzer: NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna (note from Jolie: love this bronzer!); Make up Forever HD Blush #14 on the apples of her cheek.
Lips: NARS Lipstick Roman Holiday
